Smishing
Scammers send fake text messages that appear to be from legitimate sources to steal your personal information or install malware.
Identity Theft
When someone steals your personal information and uses it to open accounts, make purchases, or commit fraud in your name.
Sweepstakes Scam
Scammers pretend you’ve won a prize but ask for money or personal information to claim it. The prize doesn’t exist.
Advance Fee Scam
Also known as a “fee scam.” You are promised something valuable, but must pay upfront fees. After payment, the scammer disappears.
